Alexis Telyczka

scholar's mind | editor's eye | storyteller's voice

Hi! My name is Alexis Telyczka, and I am a multimedia storyteller. I have an educational background in editing, print design, and social research, as well as a professional background in social work and higher education.

In my creative projects, I tend to examine themes related to legacy, mental health, and the feminine experience. I primarily draw inspiration from my childhood, my Ukrainian-American background, and folk/fairy tales. Much of my work seeks to reexamine the simultaneously personal and universal experiences of adolescence and exploration with a new, grown perspective— one with maturity, defiance, and a sense of protection.

In my professional work, I specialize in turning complex information and histories into accessible content. I have a tendency to deeply commit to community-oriented work (I want to be helpful!). I am currently seeking a role in the publishing industry where I can continue to pursue my passions for storytelling and public service. My favorite creative tools are Adobe InDesign, Figma, and good-old-fashioned paper.

At my deepest core, I am a cupcake connoisseur, pin collector, and waterfall enthusiast; I am easily drawn to anything that is pink, and I am excited for every chance I get to create. My hope when sharing my work is that it is viewed as an invitation to reflect critically on our relationships with the stories we tell ourselves.
