ALEXIS TELYCZKA
Theatre is my first and longest-lasting love—the place where I discovered that my body could hold and communicate the stories I so loved reading on the page. Scripts have become so intertwined with the way I view the world that writing dialogue often feels more natural to me than actually speaking! As a member of The New Jersey Play Lab's Storyteller Studio, I've found a creative home where I can develop my own works and support others in shaping theirs. Though the plays I've written so far have been fairly straightforward, I would like to work on more experimental and devised pieces that marry traditional stories with modern technology.
